My journey with the double bass began fifteen years ago at Projeto Guri, a social music program in the countryside of São Paulo. My roots are in classical music, but over time my curiosity led me down many other paths, and today you’ll mostly find me in the pit of a musical, on stage with independent theatre companies, or sitting in as a guest with orchestras across Brazil.

What moves me most is making music together: the conversations that happen in an ensemble, the freedom of improvisation, and the stories that come alive in opera and theatre. I love exploring 20th- and 21st-century repertoire, and I’m always looking for ways to bring the music of women composers to more stages.

I also write my own pieces, letting the deep voice of the double bass meet the human voice, literature and other art forms.
